We Called It! Military-Style Jackets

We Called It! Military-Style Jackets

A couple days ago, we took a walk up to the Ralph Lauren store on 72nd & Madison in New York City. As we looked through their summer collection—and ate some excellent Pride-themed cookies (happy last day of Pride Month, though we celebrate Pride every day here!)—we noticed a few familiar pieces among their products. One example was a handful of green military-style jackets decorated with patches and embroidery. We have those too!

About a year ago, we started looking through trend forecasts made by people in the know who work in the fashion industry in order to decide how we should upcycle our products. We had quite a few military and military-style jackets in our collection—army surplus stores were one of our first stops in gathering merchandise—and we saw potential in adding new decorations. Some of our jackets are painted, others have patches, and some have been embroidered. We're glad to be in such good company with Ralph Lauren!

We've attached the two military-style jackets we saw at Ralph Lauren and three of our favorites from our collection.
