As we built up ideas for Salvage Renaissance, we created a trend forecast to see how we should reimagine our pre-loved merchandise. One prediction we made was that sequined/bedazzled/bejeweled shirts would become very popular. We've added sequins to a variety of our shirts, which we'll share over the next couple of weeks, and first up is a vintage Waylon Jennings shirt from when he performed at the University of Texas at Arlington. It's a cool shirt as it is, but we thought that some sequins could add a fun pop while maintaining the black-and-white color scheme.
We found examples of bejeweled shirts from Balmain as well as many other brands—so our prediction was right! As you can see, there are so many ways to make an old shirt shimmer a second time, and so many ways to style a sparkly shirt.
